The statistical techniques used in most polling are ill-suited to gauging future human behavior for a host of reasons that do not apply to techniques involving sampling of inanimate objects or process conditions, yet they seek to clothe themselves with the same aura of reliability that manufacturing sampling processes for QC have earned. As you state in the referenced article, at best, polls can give an indication of momentum, but cannot attest to its depth or longevity. Thank you for your analysis. Thank you for explaining the odd ball polling. I have internally believed and seen Kamala doing very well as the latest early election numbers blatantly reveal. Your take on the polling numbers being monetarily skewed makes sense as even Trump himself gave away the game during the Stormy Daniels hush money trial. Some of the testimony was releated to calling a polling house to ask how much it would be for a skewed poll. When the Trump campaign has near endless billionaire money. What we see is the innevitable result. The majority of folks joyessly supporting Kamala Harris and voting in droves (ie Georgia) and the polls telling us something completely different. Polls as gaslighting and discouragement just like you said.
