Counter-Narcissist Cheat Codes: Polling

Polling as gaslighting and other election manipulations.

There are few things more useful in sports, education, business, politics or life than clear, accurate and true numbers to analyze, but ever since I took a statistics class in college, I have despised stats unless they meet my criteria.

The probabilities are also high that my dislike of that class was a main reason one of my mantras became the famous Mark Twain quote,

“There are lies, damn lies and statistics.”

Half the quotes I have ever tried to confirm have been incorrectly attributed.

Ironically, I found out decades later while attempting to verify that attributing it to Twain was a “damn lie” too. He credited Benjamin Disraeli but there is little to no proof that Disraeli was the correctly quoted wordsmith either.

Regardless of who said it first and the extra power of any words associated with Twain, there is still a great deal of truth, and thus force behind this insightful saying.

Ergo, this common sense and universal experience with numbers should make it clear to every self-aware person on Earth that statistics can be altered into something far worse than a mere lie.

As propaganda media like Fox has exemplified for decades, if manipulative numbers can be put into people’s heads, even the most intelligent can be fooled into thinking wrong thoughts and making really bad decisions, let alone the less informed.

Are polls just psychological manipulation?

This truth about how numbers can be manipulated and made to gaslight us is why there are 60 new (RINO produced, low-to-no quality) swing-state polls that have led many to believe the false view of reality that trump’s MKUltra psyops people want out there.

Indeed they have several reasons why they need to sell the illusion the election is tied or that the insanity that trump, vance and the racist, bigoted and fascist maga nazi cabal are far ahead, as they are narcissistically desperate to con us out of our democracy.

It is compulsive for them because their main fantasy is authoritarian power over others, to avoid jail and to never be forced to look at the psychologically stunted pathological a-holes they see in the mirror.

A few main reasons to manipulate polls with fake ones.

1 - A close race sanewashes trump in the minds of low-information undecideds, because they think how else could almost “half the country” still be supporting him if all the bad and insane things being reported about him were true.

2 - This statistical manipulation of the polls is also how many in the media falsely justify and so wrongly treat a malignant narcissist madman with dementia as a normal candidate and mentally stable healthy human, when nothing could be further from the truth. Aka gaslighting.

3 - The illusion of a close race or trump lead doubly serves as a way to get voters who would vote against trump and the GOP into feeling hopeless, thus staying home on Election Day. Aka subtle voter suppression.

This graphic is based on 2016 numbers but the point still stands that an electoral college only winner isn’t even half of half the country.

Gee, wonder why one party does everything it can to make voting harder and to convince fellow Americans that they should not vote because their votes don’t count.

4 - Another manipulative reason to “flood the zone” with a high number of biased polls is that many media outlets report polls by showing the average. Obviously if propaganda-focused polls are included in what is reported, those statistics become lies and “damn lies” with the explicit purpose of psychologically manipulating voters into believing a made-up reality.

5 - Perhaps the most insidious reason they need the public to believe the race is extremely close is so the polls appear to confirm any suspicious higher vote totals acquired from some voter fraud they are able to pull off.

Basically via the law of narcissist projection, every kind of voter fraud the Republicans have ever falsely accused the Dems of, they are trying or will try to pull off in this existential election.

Beyond the psychology, we also know this is true because almost every time someone gets caught in a malevolent voter fraud scheme, it’s a Republican.  

Obviously, the closer the race the easier trump can sell his election fraud spin to the maga cult if they can’t hook or crook the final numbers into going their way in the first round of what they, their propaganda media and our illegitimate Supreme Court has declared a celebrity death-match for American democracy.

Just as everyone has seen is still the case from the 2020 election, trump is psychologically incapable of accepting defeat under any circumstances and will literally try anything he can to steal the election and our democracy, so he can stay out of jail, declare himself king and use the power of the U.S. government to take revenge on anyone who ever got in his way.

Due to the trump Republican post-truth reality, it is ideal both politically and for national stability if Kamala can crush him on Election Day. Certainly removing all sane doubt that the majority of Americans elected the only one psychologically fit to be President (with trump showing clear signs of dementia) will hopefully keep the maga cult from acting out the Civil War coup trump will try to trigger in his narcissistic collapse, as he did on January 6th.

The truth is whatever a narcissist needs it to be at any given moment, to justify abuse.

We know the maga cabal will manipulate polls because it has been proven without exception that trump and his party of flying monkeys have no shame and choose to live in a “post-truth world” where their reality and ideology are constantly in motion and impossible to pin down.

Of course to point out that they are living in a delusion-based reality that only serves them at the expense of everyone else is being mean and nasty to them and denying them their freedoms (to be liars, manipulators, toxic abusers, and thieves or worse).

One of the main reasons toxic types gaslight and try to trigger us with traumatizing false views of reality, such as trump and the Republicans appearing to do much better with the voters than they are in reality, it sadly can become a self-fulfilling prophecy if they can get enough people to give into the despair of how bad things appear to be, based on their dishonest angles, viewpoints or polling.

Indeed one of the main reasons for manipulators to gaslight us with dishonest polling or other fake news and triggering trauma porn is to demoralize us into thinking nothing can change.

Certainly if key voting blocs think too much of the public has drunk the narcissist kool-aid so nothing can be done, it suggests to them there is no point in voting.

 

However, once you realize that their primary purpose in telling lies and half-truths is to make the world appear as hopeless and as ugly as possible so we fearfully surrender our rights and agency, these tactics lose their hidden power and forces the narcissist to further expose themselves with less subtle gaslighting attempts.

Thus, the more we stay strong, the more obvious their manipulations are forced to become, the better the chance there is to expose these grifters to the public and law for the toxic frauds that they are.

As empirical psychology teaches and CNI preaches, narcissists will give you two choices, submit or rebel. All of these fake and untrustworthy polls are a subtle version of this dynamic.

You can submit to the narcissist's version of reality by being in despair or you can rebel against these efforts by being forceful, powerful and optimistic in advancing and supporting the basic American concepts of Freedom, Democracy, Republic and not having a mad king or narcissist oligarch rule.

It was the Republicans decades old half-truth manipulative strategy that made them destined to fall down a slippery slope into a post-truth reality.

Once most of their more subtle mind games had finally been exhausted, played out and exposed with Bush jr, trump came along and made the rest of their con job obvious by confessing to almost all of it, due to his ever declining ability to be self-aware, or ever keep his mouth shut.  

Polling Cheat Code: How we know most “high quality" polls are trash.

In contrast to the repetitive pattern of Republican propaganda polls that are all about gaslighting and tricking those who don’t know better into believing in and acting on massively dishonest “alternative facts,” according to the “high quality” polls with long track records of accuracy and intellectual honesty, Kamala’s small yet significant leads have barely moved for several weeks.  

While it is certainly mind-blowing and triggering that the polls say the race for President between an emotionally strong person like Kamala and a demented malignant narcissist like trump who has lost his grasp of reality is as close as it is, it all goes so far beyond polling.

It leads us to the sad reality of almost unlimited money in our politics and the ability of billionaires to buy almost anything or anyone politically influential thanks to decades of GOP efforts of arguing “money is speech,” because narcissist millionaires and billionaires paid them to do it.

In this election more than any other, we now have malignant-type narcissists spending fortunes to buy the Presidency via a corrupt con man and “proto-fascist vampire” Peter Thiel’s empty vessel, since they are both willing to do, say or hurt anything or anyone for “Daddy’s approval” or a bribe, oops I mean “campaign contribution.”

The Cheat Code: As many know, most “high quality” polling is an art and a science in its most true, honest and accurate form. If you have followed polling for years too, you will also know that the most reputable polls usually come from a combination of the most respected media outfits, best academic institutions, respected polling organizations or combinations thereof. A few examples would be NY Times/Siena, ABC News/Ipsos, Economist/YouGov, NPR/PBS/Marist and Harvard-Harris.

However, I have found what seems like a disconnect in polling and what explains how we know most “high quality" polls are trash now too.

Think about it, before we were aware trump-allied and other self-serving billionaires would so openly try to buy this election, we saw them buy up or transform most of the remainder of corporate and mainstream legacy media in the last few years, thus rendering former jewels in the first amendment crown such as CNN, The New York Times and twitter somewhere in between mostly useless, toxic cesspools and cheerleaders for an oligarchic, Handmaid's Tale, fascist dictatorship.

Therefore, if we cannot trust most corporate and mainstream news to be anything more than pro-authoritarian and/or for-profit, horse race, trauma porn instead of legacy media’s de facto role and obligation to be defenders of American democracy, we certainly can’t trust their polling to be honest or accurate for the exact same reasons.

Beyond their self-serving motivations, until the media can recognize and educationally report on one of our political parties being owned and operated by malignant narcissists, sociopaths & psychopaths, America will continue to remain under grave threat. Just look how close a rapidly declining grandiose malignant narcissist with dementia is to the Presidency right now.

Sadly, the same rule applies to most of the academic institutions whether they partner up with big name media or not for their polling, because academia has also stayed suspiciously silent on the malignant narcissists, sociopaths and psychopaths that have been increasingly threatening the pillars of our democracy.

In fact it almost seems certain that most institutions of higher learning have had their psychological silence bought as well, because they too have been hiding behind the antiquated Goldwater Rule, despite the clear and present danger to democracy presented by trump and vance.

Conclusions

I get it. Again, it is sickening and disheartening that trump and the Republicans are even this close, and it tells us how badly this dark clown, anti-American, narcissist cabal has penetrated our society via the same kind of gaslighting that is triggering so many fears in this election campaign today.

However, if we can process that almost everything negative we are hearing now including most corporate media and/or university polls are of dubious credibility and likely just another form of subtle untrustworthy manipulation, their gaslighting should also lose much of its power and thus allow us to focus on what positives we would be doing without negative attempts at manipulation and distraction.

If we all play our parts, tune out the maga gop narcissistic noise and abuse, and go about doing all we can do to save democracy from a nazi dystopian abyss, we should be good.🤞🏻

…or a pathological narcissist, and thus psychologically incapable of “public” service.
