I still can’t shake this broadly spread narcissism that covers the country. I truly need some help understanding how a malignant narcissist was able to take control of a political party he wasn’t affiliated with most of his life and essentially turned 35% of it into a cult. So my question is about the people who know better, the political leaders of said party who publicly support all this. Are they narcissistic too? What else would cause responsible representatives, senators, businessmen who had in the past spotted and called out the narcissistic behavior but now turns a blind eye or actively supports it? I think back to when Barry Goldwater led a delegation to the WH to advise Nixon to resign as he and his staffers broke the law and the public’s trust.

Did you get a chance to read trumpism is Narcissism again? Personally, I think it answers most of those questions, but if you did and it didn't for you, I'll need to find other ways. Definitely not a short answer question though ; ) Likely an article but I will try to address it on the pod. https://samray.substack.com/p/trumpism-is-narcissism

Yes, it does answer most of my query and lays the foundation of all the Trumpy narcissists. I still have a problem understanding why many of these people who went over to Trumpism, did not have a seemingly obvious history of narcissism. I do think you cover some of this: opportunism, power, wealth and for many to remain relevant. Simply, no moral center.

That's a good one. What level of narcissistic? A microcosmic example or two would be very helpful in providing a less broad answer.

Good for you. A main theme of CNI is to be strategically proactive to avoid the mess you are forced to be reactive to.

Ouch. Do most others he is the "boss" of feel the same? Is this personality type the norm in your industry or are they just hiding behind the illusion of being a strong leader to the higher ups/those who can fire him? Can he be fired or mostly untouchable?
