I’d like to point out that forced-birth by those who know they cannot or should not have children is a great Petri dish for growing more psychopathy in this generation and the next. Because the reality is, most mothers will keep those children, pressured by their extended family and community. And a significant proportion of those kids will land in the foster care system eventually. Adoptions are expensive and rare, and adopters want infants, not a 5 or 10 year old from the foster care program. Again - as stated - the cruelty is the point.

I read your article with interest. Several years ago i read a book called

People of the Lie.

By Scott Peck MD , a psychiatrist who has written many books about Spirituality.

I think that this may be of interest.

It is also obviously a common if not compulsive practice of Donald and his followers.

It might be of interest to you .

‘People of the Lie’ by M. Scott Peck, MD “The hope for healing human evil”.

I’m not a fan of the “evil” nomenclature. It should be relegated to horror/sci-fi films and historical references. The study of psychological pathologies whether narcissism, anti social disorder, sociopaths, psychopaths and other disorders allow for understanding the cruel and self serving actions. When Kevin McCarthy tries to prevent a govt shutdown and Matt Gaetz mocks him while undermining the function of the legislature to govern we can diagnose his narcissism despite what the APA deems inappropriate. Putin wants another empire and become the first trillionaire. Kim Jong likes killing individuals as well as as his entire nation ( literally and figuratively). Psychopaths possessed with their own selfish needs. I don’t think day care would have helped.

For the minority of us who understand the psychology, your points are valid. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the world does not, so we need to use terms they can process to get there.
