I wish I had this hope but I don’t. The last resort of a narcissist bully and abuser is violence. I fear this is where the GOP is headed and trump has already promised “retribution”. And republicans will use the age old excuse of abusers everywhere. “You made me do it.” The more they lose, the more desperate they will become.
Maybe it needs better wording but ONLY said they are close to the bottom intellectually.

I heard that but most of his base don’t think in intellectual terms I’m afraid. They hear the word retribution and think of actual physical punishment.
That was my point. Them no longer able to think in intellectual terms is near an intellectual bottom. Once you hit Idiocracy levels, there is not much lower to go.
For just about everything else, as you are noting & I have been repeating for years every time somebody says they near a bottom, "there is no bottom."

Certainly a non-timid justice dept that prosecutes political bribery, corruption and insurrection incitement by higher ups instead of the foot soldiers would be a good start.
