✨Fascinating read about my Dearest Wednesday !! ✨

Idk, Wednesday reminds me of many of my fellow students at University that went to prep school: a porridge of arrogance, smarts, wealth, “coolness” and traces of pathology kept in check by chance of losing their inheritance. If they didn’t self destruct they ended up being good friends ( w distinctly dry humor).

Interesting. We went to very different universities ; ) Mine was the #1 party school in the nation at the time, so I doubt many prep school kids parents let their kids attend, due to the dangers of them going full party mode, or worse. Also a state school so not prestigious enough. However, they wisely spun the party rep into being a school where you could learn "social skills," and it was true. i.e. Almost everyone was just nice and fun.

Up very early (or late?) and you made me think about something completely new and interesting! I’m in such a state right now I cannot fathom actually deploying any of this info defensively, yet I’m learning stuff anyway that I trust will accumulate for future use. This Wednesday character sounds intriguing, fun in a dark sort of way, and as you suggest, art/film/comedy/beauty is so important to seek out and savor. Deploy it to interrupt the heaviness of our present circumstance. I recently encountered a most original, creative young comedian by the name of Alex Edelman. Then spent an hour+ watching clips (while fending off ads & evil algorithmic nudging) of Alex and laughing my ass off, all alone. It felt sooooo good and activated parts of my brain I thought were atrophied. All of a sudden I felt like maybe the good guys CAN win, or at least have fun trying to beat back the MFers. 😊

So pleased CNI is causing some new neurons to fire down new pathways. At least in America, I'm pretty sure the good guys are going to win because most of our bad guys think they are geniuses when they are mostly spoiled narcissists detached from reality because it doesn't suit their narrative.

It was so strange when I first started listening to DeSantis in 21 and he was talking about "narrative" all the time. It was like he was trying to legally argue RW fantasy over reality, and reality was just narrative, open to interpretation. If DeSantis had some charm and charisma to run for President, I might me more worried, but thankfully his lack of humanity seems to have finally caught up with him. You are in much closer proximity so curious if you are getting, "He's done" there too?
