I have Echo for my Sunday lineup. Wondering if anyone has seen “Fool me Once” which I still have last episode to watch but unadvisedly read the Wikipedia summary which I’d have never seen coming. It’s done well but almost enters a fantasy type story. And Joanna Lumley from Absolutely Fabulous is in it!

OK, you’ve sold me! Thanks for a great review of a series I might otherwise not have put at the top of my list…purely because it’s not a genre I love. But I’m always game for an “exceptional psychological journey.”

.. a truly intriguing & vibrant review ! You dropped the term ‘shades of grey’ in there.. Is that meant as ‘spectrum’ or reference ? My concerns re ‘binary perceptions & response’ keep flooding into my own perceptions & opinion

A side note re the lead characters in my Fiction tend to have truly rational early years.. no deep emotional wounding or traumatic victimization.. much like me !

My ‘superpowers’ are Curiosity & Resilience.. & the ‘Gifts’ that find me ? Why Serendipity Happenstance Synchronicity of course !

My preferred ‘takeaway for the reader’ should be Altruism in all its humble splendour.. Did you ever read ‘Smilla’s Sense Of Snow’ ?

I didn't think of "shades of grey" that deeply but I suppose it does mean spectrum on some levels, but mostly it means "not black and white" in this instance. Sadly, childhood trauma is a leading indicator of unhealthy narcissism and a parent with unhealthy narcissism causes extensive childhood trauma, which is the vicious cycle. Glad yours' was rational. I''m also blessed with Curiosity, Resilience and ‘Gifts’ that find me. Never read ‘Smilla’s Sense Of Snow’ but saw the movie many years ago.

I concur - Echo was great viewing and we enjoyed all five episodes. (We also now consider the Hawkeye series required holiday season viewing, like National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.) Echo’s interactions with Fisk in Episode 5 were particularly moving. A strong female character and actor, who we are sure to see more of in the MCU. 👍🏼
