Explanations of the projections are very much needed. This country has a history of various narcissists and unhinged politicians ( Lindbergh,Joe McCarthy) who eventually faded away but more importantly never attained the destruction we are experiencing now. The crazies never attained this much power: the military, the FBI, the intelligence services, and now the health care services. It will get worse.
Unfortunately, there is a book out there to convince people that we who oppose Trump are literally demons in human form. It’s titled Unhumans, and it’s by Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec. The book does what the various wingnut X pundits and others do and projects the wingnuts’ own actions on Democrats and Trump opponents. To get a flavor of the type of garbage these people emit on X, go and check out people like Eric Metaxasxajd Megan Basham on Nitter Space.
Toxic framing attracts malignant narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths because it mirrors their inner world. They view themselves as uniquely special and persecuted and experience intense 😡 towards those who do not submit to them. Calling critics “unhumans” or “demons in human form” is just putting their private contempt into a public form. If you know this, there's no point in taking in more of their poison. It's the same thing over and over at increasing levels because they need bigger fixes.
I don't have a resource for this except that I heard it on Russell Razzaque's podcast. He said that there is a new study of Trump supporters that used most likely functional MRI to determine the parts of the brain people use to think about Trump. Nonsupporters used areas that were involved in critical thinking-- frontal lobes etc. Trump supporters showed a pattern similar to people who have addictions. So, someone like me looks for answers and feels nauseous when the trigger is Trump uses the frontal lobes. But, a Trump supporter gets a dopamine high. I've known other people who were capable of manipulating others at that level, although not at such a mass scale as Trump. So, according to this study, the need for "bigger fixes" makes sense.
idk if the below study is the one you're thinking of, but what you stated 🎯s parts of answers. There are layers upon layers within layers to why people think & feel the way they do based on a matrix of trauma, the 🧠, & abuse.
True. You really can't make it black and white, although it is tempting. I remember when Colin Firth financed a study of Labor and Tories finding that Tories had larger right amygdala. Perhaps so. Ultimately, though, I think we are going to find the heart to be a better tell. I was reading John Pavlovitz's Substack yesterday and here is a quote from him, "America's present divide reveals the orientation of hearts." I think this is actually quite literal. If you go to www.heartmath.org and start reading some of their science, the heart is not just a pump, but a projector of a huge electromagnetic field that affects everyone and everything around it. It is packed with energy and information. Joined together, these fields affect the planet and everyone on the planet. If anyone has ever described a narcissist as "heartless" you may, in that sense, be correct. However, it is my experience that the narcissist, especially the malignant kind, uses their heart energy differently. They cannot extend to others, but they can draw people in. The narcissist I was involved with had me caught in her web. I didn't realize that I was stuck in it until I went to hypnotherapy a few months after breaking contact with her. It was quite the crash landing because, despite having been deeply harmed by her, I still believed that she was a "nice" person until that was broken by hypnosis. Lots to think about.
I'm intrigued by the heartmath theory. I've often wondered why so many cultures think that the heart is where the spirit resides. Native Americans, for example, have an ancient mythology around humans who become monsters, "Windego" is one name, and their hearts have been turned into ice. All cultures seem to refer to their hearts as personally sacred, and the location of their emotions - as in "I give you my heart" or "my heart is broken", or touching their heart when making a promise, swearing an oath, or expressing fealty. I will take a look at the site www.heartmath.org
It's really sad that people have inner worlds that are so horrible. What do you think attracts people who do not have Cluster B type personalities to them? There are certainly a lot of them. I suspect it would be their own pain. Wondering about what you think.
Thanks, Sam. It seems clear to me that you're right about knowledge of right and wrong could be there but suppressed, and perhaps suppressed to such a degree and in trump's case for so long, it becomes a dumb note, compartmentalized into virtual oblivion. Perhaps in younger narcissists, their knowledge of right and wrong is closer to the surface of the subconscious, and thus they use their free will to choose to ignore it to get what they want. And as they grow older it becomes easier and easier to block, deny, evade and ignore that knowledge for their own benefit.
In comic book terms trump is obviously a villain, and his often despised arch enemy is Obama, with Biden being Obama's successor, also a chief enemy. And they are political superheros compared to him. So in those terms he is a supervillain, because he managed to criminally get elected twice, with the aid of supervillain Putin. Most supervillains have some distinguishing trait that sets them apart from others of their type, like Bundy's attractiveness to young women, and Hitler's excessive hatred of non-aryans.
Another question I have for you, is how do these narcissists attract such large followings, like Jim Jones, Charles Manson and so many others. Is it a specific characteristic of narcissists like lack of consciences, that many submissive and hero worshipping types are drawn to? Or is it a charisma that is peculiar to narcissists?
Thanks for all your work in helping to educate those interested in this fascinating subject.
"What else can you say when the manipulation, control, and psychological tactics associated with cult leaders appear identical to the ones used by malignant narcissists, sociopaths, and psychopaths in one-on-one situations."
I No Like,Sam. It's all I can do just to simply see or hear Anything from this thing. But, Thank you for your positive reinforcement,as always... and will reStack ASAP 💯👍
Thank you for this. These people have such predictable patterns. Trump above all. When you know the pattern, you smell them a mile away. Yet, like in the Todd Blanche hearings, people are fooled by it over and over again. That is because we tend to assume that everyone has conscience, but it is just not true. We all have an internal mirror that shows us ourselves back to us. It tells us right from wrong, how someone who is not the person we see in our personal mirror is really like us. People like Trump and Blanche are the true vampires. They cannot see into their own mirrors. They have them, but are blind to them. They cannot see within, so everything has to be externalized. Trump supporters are just people who are susceptible to the addictive dopamine surge of being the special people, chosen by those who hide behind a mirror instead of seeing into it. That's what trips up good people. The mirror is reversed and because Trump and Blanche only see the dark side, that is all you get.
Question, since he doesn't have a conscience, wouldn't his subconscious be as disordered, sadistic and selfish as his conscious mind? Excuse my ignorance, but isn't the subconscious mind feeding the conscious mind? And since he doesn't have a conscience his subconscious must be without the ability to recognize truth in any form? It seems to me that his superpower that he is beyond hope of rehabilitation or reform, esp at 80 yrs old.
Great questions, Jaxon. I think I need to write an article to sufficiently answer your questions & to confirm what I think I know. However, let's see if we can knock out a few answers. While I'm not expert in the subconscious beyond narcissists, it seems certain that trump's subconscious is nearly as disordered, sadistic, & selfish as his conscious mind, but it knows many things he doesn't know consciously.
I would think that most without conscience have at least a subconscious that knows the difference between right & wrong and can recognize clear truths to some degree. They just don't care, or their subconscious protects their conscious by telling them a version of the truth that they want to hear. There is actually great debate over whether those who without conscience are actually missing one or it is just suppressed. The CNI answer is both.
Personally, I avoid giving positive labels like "superpower" to toxic symptoms because as a CNI rule, we should never glorify destroyers.
I thought it was very telling that trump admitted - out loud and in public - that he knew he would not be going to Heaven when he died. He has also mentioned several times that he expects to be impeached and tried for crimes when Democrats get back into power. He knows the difference between right and wrong, but he has managed to avoid the consequences for most of his life, so he has no reason to change his behavior.
I have been fairly successful at ignoring the existence of the Tate brothers, but when I opened my email this morning there was a New York Times announcement about their arrest in Miami yesterday. I decided to follow up on the links to see what the charges are, and that led to more articles about who they are and why they have become successful.
What a hideous pair they are! And the influence they're having on young men and boys is horrifying! But I can see why trump followers would like them: they are disgusting, misogynist rapists who got rich promoting toxic masculinity. Ugly mutants, inside and out. Of course, trump has helped them avoid prosecution, and I don't doubt he will help them again. Barron trump is a big fan. Hegseth is trying to turn our military into an army of Tates.
This era may one day be known as The Age of Malignant Narcissists.

World Wide Web help push this along
Despite your disclaimer, it sure feels true to me. But then, according to Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon, I am an Unhuman.
How predictable unhumans Stephen Miller & Steve Bannon are projecting.
