I haven't had to answer that question for a few years, & it is not as easy to relay as it seems. I thought about becoming a psychologist in my youth because I always seemed to be one for friends, but I found travel, international relations, entertainment & business far more interesting at the time.
About 17 years ago, I discovered one of those close friends was trapped in a sociopath's web, & they weren’t going to make it unless things dramatically changed. Therefore, I made it my full-time job for over 2 years to research narcissists, sociopaths, & psychopaths to rescue them, & it worked.
I later realized I accidentally became an expert on the subject when people kept asking for guidance and help, it kept working, and I kept getting more praise and rewards.
Ever since, I have merged my international relations, entertainment, & business backgrounds with that original practical psychology work, the work of my touchstone, Dr. Robert Hare (the father of the psychopath’s checklist), the DSM’s Cluster B, & any other useful psych schools (Dark Tetrad) to bring clarity to society in every area I have time & resources for.
I have also been blessed to have several psychologists, psychiatrists, & journalists follow & endorse the work, which is especially nice because I used to get attacked for saying the things I do because I was not a psychologist or psychiatrist.
Thankfully, ever since one of my heroes, Dr. Bandi Lee, endorsed my first two published articles in 2021, I stopped caring about those criticisms. Especially when so few can do what I do. I guess you could say I’m a psychological researcher, philosopher, & narcissistic whisperer.
I’ve been told by a few psychologists that one of the biggest advantages I have is that I didn’t do my original research to solve a narcissistic trauma of my own. This is apparently rare, & it helps me see the psychology in a clearer way.
Although I have never been a conservative or a lawyer, non-psychologist George Conway & I are pretty close to the same in how we view & talk about it, although I have been studying the subject for about 7 years longer.
I wrote this piece mostly in Jan, so I don’t remember where I got any info from other than an inspiration, what I already possessed, & some basic research to fill in the blanks.
I do, however, take great pains to provide the most accurate & intuitive information I can find, because trust is the key to growing a think tank that works to counter narcissists, sociopaths, & psychopaths constantly doing damage to individuals, organizations, & society. Cheers.
I think we tend to look for “official” credentials. A degree, a residency , a fellowship or finding a mentor that is acknowledged as an expert. But that has nothing to do w the ability to dive into the literature and not just understand the theory and effects of psych issues but explain and apply that particular branch of medicine/psychology. As someone in the healthcare field I cannot be more emphatic concerning the definitions, explanations of the various psychopathies are as good ( or better) than the professors I sat before. It takes interest and work to get there and having leading experts such as Bandy Lee, MD reinforce this expertise shows that the hard work pays off. I have some understanding of the amount of time and work it takes to become this fluent in a branch of medicine. I always look forward to the next missive.
AWESOME!!!!! NOPE, I JUST WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU ARE LEGIT, AND YOU ARE. I AM THRILLED THAT YOU ARE BECAUSE I NEEDED TO READ UP ON ANGER FOR A COUPLE OF REASONS. THIS IS AWESOME!!! THANKS FOR ANSWERING MY QUESTION.
I don't appreciate your tone. Contradicting what I said because you believe something else when both versions are valid is very narcissistic & the article focused on both positive & negative aspects of anger, which your comments ignored. Don't do it again.
Sam are you a psychologist....? Where are you obtaining your information about anger? It's good info....

You just lost all credibility. Lifetime ban.
It seems like you didn't read the article. Nothing was said about denying anger.
